Feature Overview
By registering various documents in the "Document" tab, you can supplement the chat functionality. The contents registered in documents are utilized as context for chats.
❶ Automatic Generation of Project Overview (Dynamic Document)
❷ Use as Input for Chat
- Coding guidelines and glossaries: Information that cannot be provided to AI by simply importing source code can be supplemented.
- For language/framework migration, it is useful to register the guidelines of the target language in documents. For more details, refer to Tutorials by Use Case.
- Registering formats and tables of design documents and requirement definitions enables efficient chat with short prompts.
- In reverse engineering, registering formats and tables in advance allows you to convey detailed requests with simple prompts such as "Analyze the source code for xx function and output design information according to the 〇〇 design document format."
- Similarly, in new development, you can specify templates for outputting design information from requirements or screen images.
❸ Use as Storage for Outputs Generated in Chat
- You can use it as a storage location for design documents reverse-engineered in chat or requirement documents created in chat. For saving methods, refer to "How to Save Documents Created in Chat" below.
- Not only for saving, but saved documents are incorporated into the chat context, further deepening AI's understanding of the project.
How to Operate
Basic Operations
➕ Add New Folder/File
Add new folders or files from the "+" icons on the left sidebar.
Jitera provides several default templates, so please use "Find Templates" as needed.
If you create a folder named "Template" or "template" and store files in it, they will appear as template candidates when creating new documents.
Files can also be moved to folders by drag & drop.
Editing
Drafts are automatically saved, so there is no "Save" button. However, unless you perform "Reflect to Draft" as described later, changes will not be reflected in chat responses, so please be careful.
Enter a unique document name in the folder and start editing from the area labeled "Start Writing."
